Influence of TKTL1 on cell mobility and invasiveness

Non-invasive NIH3T3 cells were transfected with TKTL1 and used in a Matrigel penetration assay. Cells with overexpression of TKTL1 showed a threefold higher penetration of the matrigel compared to control cells with no overexpression of TKTL1 or to cells with overexpression of TKT or TKTL2.

In a wound healing assay suppression of TKTL1 leads to delayed wound healing.
